Interactive activity
In this activity, the child will first watch a video about reptiles. Then they will look at pictures of animals and sort them into two groupsāreptiles and mammals/birdsābased onĀ their body covering.

Independent practice
At the end of the activity, the child will be asked to find one animal with fur or feathers, and one animal with scales or bony plates (a reptile), in a book.
Knowledge check
Have the child show you the animals they found in the book. Encourage them to tell you which is warm-blooded and which is cold-blooded by looking at the animalās body covering.
TIPS
- After each childās attempt, print or save their results. This must be done before you exit to avoid loss of results.
